About Me – Sourcing, Research and Fun!!
For me – Magic is Sourcing and Sourcing is Magic!!!
It’s just like Nicolas Cage’s film – National Treasure. Information is your treasure and sourcing is a way to understand the code, find your way in and explore. The journey to unearth that information is a challenge, a fun and passion comparing to getting the treasure which is just a consequence.
I’ve been in sourcing for last 9 years. As any normal recruiter starts – I started with job board sourcing, networking and gradually finding my way to the entire magical world of sourcing. I have enjoyed wearing different hats like sourcer, recruiter, team lead, client servicing manager, pre-sales, executive hiring – but beneath all that Sourcing heart kept me alive. Presently working in Capgemini to build a social recruiting and employer branding strategy. In my previous roles, I have worked on leadership level hiring at Capgemini. I am a firm believe in the recruitment sourcing concept and always thinks that Sourcing as a function has immense power to change the way recruiters recruit. Though sounds like a low-end function in recruitment supply chain – you do need an eye and vision to convert it from low end to strategic function into recruitment.
Always loves to connect with sourcing experts and professionals. It’s an ever-changing game and I love to play. I am not a sourcing guru in any stretch of imagination but enjoys training and capability building. This blog is a way to express my enthusiasm, passion and thoughts around sourcing. I am sure this will be a fun ride for everyone – please chip-in with your comments.
And remember – Sourcing will never DIE….. Rock on!!!!
